This 1958 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible celebrates the 50th anniversary of GM Motors. It is also the year Harley Earle, designer of the first Corvette, retired. The 1958 Corvette was his swan song, and it shows. The interior was completely redesigned. Quad headlights and chrome accents were added. Unique to the 1958 models were faux-louvered hoods and chrome trunk spears. It doesn’t get more classic than this!
Unlike the other Corvette in the museum, this one was completely restored to exceed the National Corvette Restorers Society’s specifications—not just meet them, which is already a high bar, but exceed them. It won accolade after accolade from the National Corvette Restorers Society for years (1997-2008) before it found a home in the Rich Harvest Farm Car Museum in 2010.
