The eight generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, this is the first mid-engine Corvette since the model’s introduction in 1953. Production began in 2020 with a vastly different design than all previous models. Structurally, this involved aluminum architecture and coil-over springs. Aesthetically, this meant larger air intakes and prominent side scoops.

The cockpit has been pushed forward 16.5 inches due to the relocation of the engine and is designed to be driver-centric, with controls on the center console and a hexagonal steering wheel. A special Z button (named in honor of Zora Arkus-Duntov AKA the Father of the Corvette) can be pushed to quickly activate a performance setting personally set by the driver.
