LIV Golf partnered with Rich Harvest Farms to introduce the Chicago area to this recharged version of the game in fall 2022. Deemed one of “America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses,” this premiere destination was part of LIV Golf history, with players such as Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia, Patrick Reed and Lee Westwood participating in this fast-paced event. It was the first men’s professional golf tournament ever to be held at the golf course.

Cameron Smith was the winner of the individual title at LIV Golf Chicago. Smith took home the championship by three strokes over Peter Uihlein and Dustin Johnson. His final round concluded with a 3-under 69 to finish at 13 under for the tournament.

4 Aces GC won its fourth consecutive LIV Golf Invitational team title. Captain Dustin Johnson’s final birdie provided the winning margin. Smash GC (23 under) came in second place, with Hy Flyers GC and Punch GC (each 17 under) sharing third-place money.

“Really proud of the guys,” said Johnson of his 4 Aces teammates. “It was really nice to get that fourth victory in a row.”

The prize purse for LIV Golf Chicago was $25 million. Smith took home $4 million. A $5 million prize was split among the top three teams with $3 million going to first place, $1.5 million to second place, and $500K to third place.

LIV Golf is expanding opportunities for both players and fans. It’s the sport’s next greatest chapter, and it’s reinvigorating golf with a cutting-edge approach, new rivalries, and fierce team competition.

Greg Norman, World Golf Hall of Famer and former world No. 1 golfer, founded LIV Golf with a mission to grow the game with top players competing in a compelling team and individual-based format. Trailblazers from the world of golf, sports, and entertainment are leading LIV Golf into tomorrow. This new one-of-a-kind global golf competition gets its name from the Roman numeral for 54, the perfect “18-hole score” on a traditional Par 72 course.

LIV Golf has a charitable commitment to raise money for local and international charities at its various events happening around the globe through its philanthropic arm, LIV to Give. Inspired by LIV Golf Chicago individual winner Cameron Smith, a pop-up barbershop was held at the Chicago Fan Village to support the Mullets for Charity initiative. For every mullet styled, $1,000 was donated through LIV to Give. The total amount raised was $110,000, including a $30,000 donation after LIV Golf Commissioner & CEO Greg Norman received a new hairstyle.

So how does LIV Golf’s energized format work? Fewer rounds, smaller fields, shorter playing windows, and three rounds of tournament play are just a few elements that make LIV Golf unique. Players compete on teams, with 48 players making up 12 teams. There are no cuts, and shotgun starts allows for a more accelerated tempo of play.

The 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Series held eight events on courses from London’s Centurion Club to Boston’s The International, with a seeded team finale concluding the series in October at Trump National Doral Miami.

LIV Golf boasts the largest prize purses in the history of golf. Are you ready to experience the game in an exciting new way?
